Continental Divide Land Trust Plein Air Painting Event

This photo is of my pochade box and the painting I did in the Continental Divide Land Trust plein air painting event in August 2008 on Hwy. 9 north of Frisco, CO. I was really lucky with the location because the weather held pretty well till the end, while it rained and hailed closer to Frisco at some of the other locations where artists were painting.

This year's event will be July 18th at the Buffalo Mountain Gallery in Frisco. Start at Buffalo Mountain Gallery, Frisco. Plein Air artists will be painting on location around the Frisco area on Saturday, July 18, capturing images of the landscape in the out-of-doors. A free map and guide to artist locations can be picked up at Buffalo Mountain Gallery and the public is invited to travel around to watch the art being created. Bicycling is encouraged. That evening, a Patron Party (ticketed event) will offer the first opportunity to view and purchase the images. Public viewing and sale will follow on Sunday. http://www.cdlt.org/events.html
